Clear • Calm • Re-balance This advanced light-based therapy employs the proprietary broad-spectrum light technology from Sciton, using blue, yellow and infrared wavelengths to directly target acne-causing bacteria, reduce inflammation and support skin renewal for clearer, healthier-looking skin.
All purchases can only be used in clinic after a consultation with one of our licensed and highly experienced estheticians and/or nurse injectors at The Saint Louis Med Spa located at 525 S. Hanley Road, Saint Louis, MO 63105.
What You’ll Achieve
Reduction of active breakouts by targeting acne-causing bacteria deep within pores via blue light.
Decrease in redness, inflammation and post-acne pigmentation using yellow and infrared light pulsing.
Improvement in skin texture and tone; suitable for face, neck, chest, back and other body areas.
Non-invasive with minimal downtime; many patients resume normal activities immediately.
The Treatment Process
Consultation to assess your skin-condition, acne severity and treatment plan.
Session begins with protective eyewear, cooling gel/application as needed and handpiece sweeping the target area. According to protocol, the treatment involves multiple passes:
Blue light to target bacteria.
Yellow light to reduce visible redness/inflammation.
Infrared/Healing pass to stimulate skin renewal.
Typical session time ranges from ~10-30 minutes depending on area.
Aftercare involves sun protection, avoiding harsh exfoliants for a short period, and following your provider’s skincare regimen.
Who It’s For
This treatment is ideal if you:
Have persistent or recurring acne (face, chest, back) despite conventional treatments
Are seeking a non-medication, non-topical-only solution with visible results
Want minimal downtime and a streamlined session
Have acne-related redness, pigmented marks or textured skin from breakouts
Important Notes & Safety
Multiple sessions (often 3-6) are typically recommended for optimal and sustained results.
Sun protection is critical before and after treatment—BBL light makes skin more light-sensitive.
Avoid treatment if you have active sunburn, open lesions, or certain light-sensitive conditions—consult your provider.
Side-effects are typically mild: temporary redness, warmth, minor flaking—serious complications are rare.
