All purchases can only be used in clinic after a consultation with one of our licensed and highly experienced estheticians and/or nurse injectors at The Saint Louis Med Spa located at 525 S. Hanley Road, Saint Louis, MO 63105.
What It Can Achieve
- Reduces visible sunspots, age spots and pigmentation irregularities for a clearer, more even complexion.
- Minimizes redness, broken capillaries or rosacea-related flushing by targeting vascular issues.
- Improves skin texture, refines pores, and stimulates collagen to soften fine lines and restore a healthier glow.
- Fast treatment times with minimal to no downtime—many patients resume regular activity shortly after.
The Experience
- Prior to treatment a consultation will determine your skin concerns and suitability.
- On the day of treatment: Protective eye-wear is provided, and a cooling tip will be used for comfort. Numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area. The handpiece is swept over the target area delivering pulses of light energy.
- Typical session length varies by area—face or neck treatments may take ~20-60 minutes; larger areas like chest/back take longer.
- Immediately after treatment your skin may feel warm or slightly red; many side-effects are mild and resolve quickly.
Ideal Candidate
You’re a strong candidate if you:
- Have signs of sun damage (spots, freckles), pigmentation or redness.
- Notice uneven tone, visible small vessels or early signs of aging.
- Want an effective non-surgical option with minimal downtime.
Important Notes & Aftercare
- Sun protection is essential—plan to avoid heavy sun exposure and use broad-spectrum SPF after treatment.
- Mild redness or darkening of pigmented spots (prior to flaking off) is common; full results evolve over days to weeks.
- Multiple sessions may be recommended for optimal and lasting results.
- Not everyone may be a candidate (depending on skin type, certain conditions); a provider will assess during consultation.
- BBL may not be suitable for darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) due to a higher risk of pigmentation changes.
- Pregnant individuals or those with active skin infections should also avoid the treatment.
